Hour Glass Debuting on May 9, 1946, “Hour Glass” was the first commercial network variety show. The Dick Cavett Show debuted in May of 1969. This groundbreaking show was very good. Some of the greater moments are on DVD. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Jay Leno took over the tonight show from Johnny Carson on May 25, 1992. I wonder how Conan will do.

On the June 24, 2008, this site, and its owner were on the show. Were you listening? TV Confidential This site was featured on KSAV’s TV Confidential on January 27. The discussion was about the 1950-55 variety show, THE COLGATE COMEDY HOUR.
